Is it possible to prevent weed spread and yield losses?!
It is a well-known fact that herbicides cause stress and backwardness in plants, which, in its turn, can reduce yields. For example, soybean yield can be reduced from 3 to 2 t/ha.
Thus, in terms of efficiency the profitability drops almost twice! It is exactly this reason that led to the creation of genetically modified soybean varieties which are not sensitive to most “soft” herbicides of the “Roundup” type, so the yield losses are minimal.
The experiment has shown that “Bio-gel” application enables considerable reduction (practically twofold) of herbicide rates, especially such toxic herbicides as “Harness”. In this case weed inhibition is obvious while plants do not suffer from any stress. (to report Testing the application of Bio-gel natural adaptogen to Arrate soybean variety with no weed and pest killers used and with soil herbicide used under irrigation )
Proceeding from these experiments, we have confirmed “Bio-gel” anti-stress properties that increase plants stress resistance to chemical treatment. (to report Studies of “Bio-gel” and its pesticide compositions effect on soybean seedlings )
By halving the amount of herbicides applied, farmers save at least 100 UAH/ha, at the same time reducing the chemical load on the Ukrainian black earth. Due to using “Bio-gel” soybean yields rise by 0.3-0.5 t/ha on the average, which leads to 2000-4000 UAH additional income
